In order to obtain international travel permission from the navy, it’s necessary to register you in the ZARP system – therefore, we need to take a picture about your passport the day before.

Livingston - Punta Gorda (Belize)
Take the boat from Casa Rosada’s dock straight to Punta Gorda (Q 350 | 1 hr). The fare has to be paid directly to the captain. Belize imposes a US$ 20 entry tax.
Once you are in Punta Gorda, the only option for withdrawing money is Belize Bank, which imposes a 3% fee per withdrawal in addition to 1% of the total amount. We suggest using Atlantic Bank whenever possible, as it currently (2023) does not charge any commission.
Punta Gorda - Placencia
Board the bus to Independence (US$ 5 | 2 hrs).
Upon arrival, you can take a collective taxi (US$ 2.5 | 5 min) or a 20 min walk to reach the Hokey Pokey water taxi.

If you depart from Livingston at 7:00 AM, you can arrive on the same day. From Punta Gorda, take a bus to Belize City. Upon arrival, take the water taxi to Caye Caulker (US$ 20) or San Pedro.

If you depart from Livingston at 11:00 AM, you won’t have enough time to reach Caye Caulker on the same day. We suggest spending a night in Placencia, as Belize City doesn’t have much to offer.
From the main street in Placencia, you can catch a bus to Belize City (US$ 14).
Placencia - Hopkins | Dangriga
You don’t need to return to Independence from Placencia. Instead, buses on the main street offer direct routes to these towns, providing a convenient alternative for your journey.
Belize City - Flores (Guatemala)
Each day, a single bus embarks from Belize City, providing transportation to either Flores or Guatemala City. This daily service offers a reliable option – like Marvelus Travel – for reaching these destinations from Belize’s capital.
Belize - Mexico
When departing Belize, travelers are required to pay an exit tax of US$ 20, while entering Mexico an entry fee of US$ 42. These fees are part of the standard procedures for crossing the border and should be factored into your travel plans.
